the only real reason she was introduced in the first place and she's like that is to be used as a means to progress umimi's feelings, basically the author had no idea how to progress and introduced a throwaway character for plot progression, at least that's what it seems like to me as of now lmao

That more of an indictment of the cast than her character , she’s the most honest so far and comes with zero baggage. As far as the story goes she should be the heroine.

Like I said in previous chapter, she will either become a proper girlfriend and save MC (and in some way us), or she will push the slog-fest plot along by forcing the other two short-hair landmines to actually do shit (which will save us, and maybe reduces torture time on MC from those two).

Both are acceptable endings in my eye. But theres always a looming thing that she is as syco as the other 2, just didn't show it yet, and her "push" will move the other two a bit, but overall it will get even slower with 3 landmines to walk around.

I'll be very surprised if the first option ends up being true, and the second option, while technically better than everything being dragged out for 300 chapters (though it could still easily happen), it's still not good writing.

if your only way of progressing the plot is introducing random characters that are just gonna be thrown away after they're done progressing the plot with the main characters then there's clearly a problem with your story

I love Yako. She knows what she wants, she knows there are no rules in love, and she also knows how to ask the guy she just met for his contact info in the smoothest way possible. She even played him by highballing her request, to later lower it to "just a date". If she was FMC, they would be married by chapter 8.
