Wait, dad dude, how long was the payment period on that mortgage for the Titty Ghost Murder House, exactly? Because you either got an outlandishly short-term mortgage or main character dude has been in that shuttered room working on his manga for a really long time.

Edit: wait I might be a dumbass. The dad had the sketchy ghost effect on him in that panel and the "mortgage" he's referring to was paid off by throwing somebody down the Titty Ghost Murder Well. I should probably think more supernaturally when reading a ghost manga instead of immediately pondering what sort of APR he was getting.

Whew. You know, I have to admit, as far as 'reasons for a house to be haunted' go, I think 'it was built with the money of a predatory loan shark' is. Kind of genius. Like every single yen that went into that house was probably skimmed from human suffering, from the most vulnerable of society. Even before the use of the well.... it'd already be evil enough.

I like how the parents kind of. Float uncertainly in between being haunted or not. Like a walking dream.
