How to lose readers and ruin your manga 101 the author clearly wants obi to be the male lead at this point but it'd completely kill the series and they have no way to write shirayuki falling for him without it ruining her character lmao. Should've made this shit unrealistic and just focused on zen and shirayuki

The merch sales are saving this series but it won't forever. Also the volume sales are incredibly low, I don't see this series continuing in the next 3 years with the low sales and fan outrage that zen isn't a more important character

Not only the wait between the chapters doesn't help remembering anything (not blaming anyone, I'm glad that no one is forced to publish monthly), but the plot doesn't help.
I miss when it was about Shirayuki being a pharmacist, when she was with Zen and Kiki and Mitsuhide... Now it's just her with the twins and Obi and it's BORING.
Where is the adventure we had in the first chapters? Where is the thrill of the politics with Zen and his brother, trying to figure his plans? Where is Shirayuki actually helping people with her knowledge? Everything that made this story interesting is gone. Half of the main characters from the start aren't main characters anymore. The relationship between Zen and Shirayuki won't go far of they can never see each other for more than one day, once a time...
This arc goes nowhere, I thought the things with the brothers would have been resolved long ago, but nope, it's still here, one at a time. And after them, you bet there will be more family members and more things for Shirayuki to do...
I also can't help but wonder what's going on with Obi. What's his role exactly? Being Shirayuki's knight/assistant? Can't he be someone outside of Shirayuki? Obi is a character that need some agenda to make him evolves has a person but also has a character for the readers. He's trapped in this role of being everything Shirayuki needs that it makes him loose what made him interesting in the first place. Give him a real mission and a real arc, bring Shirayuki back to Zen so that Obi could go to do anything else. It could still be a mission for Zen, but something that doesn't resolves around Shirayuki would be great.

You know I rioted when Zen's brother sent Shirayuki away from Zen to prove herself to him by studying in Lilias for years. Then she researched the Orimmallys light plant, and then it's like,
"Oh one more thing, you need persuade all the nobles to let you plant it." And now it's,
"Oh one more thing, you have another research assignment test in another faraway castle. This is really the last assignment before you see Zen again." Nod nod wink wink.
Not even enraging anymore, it's boring. Shirayuki is made of far stronger stuff than I am for putting up with this insanity for this long. And Zen's totally helpless in the meanwhile. Not a great look.
