called "fabes" only in certain places, like northern coast. In Andalusia they are called "alubias" (beans), "habichuelas" or, just sometimes, "fabas", which are the big ones (and tastier)
Fact 2. No, in Spain are no longer common gas stoves. Especially manually ignited ones. Now everybody uses glass ceramic or induction stoves. Only older stoves are still gas driven.
Fact 3. When boiling beans you have to "scare" them by adding cold water to stop the boiling, at least three times, so they don't get peeled. It takes like one hour and a half to completely boil the beans. And no, it's not tiring at all cooking them.
Fact 4. The "foot-shaped" ice cream is called "frigopie". It's a strawberry flavoured creamy ice cream and it's older than me (I'm +40) and it's delicious.
