I never understood grandparents that just hated a child for reasons other than the kid’s personality. Like Natsu seems so chill.

Glad he realized he’s instantly accepted on his mom’s side though. Esp since he was scared of being rejected at first

Natsuki trying to put his best foot forward in some unfamiliar territory is always great to see, he's a really good kid.

His old relatives were on the money about him fitting in more with his family in Spain than their conniving asses, couldn't even wait till the coast was clear to start celebrating.

Natsu is half european, so in the mind of old folks, he will never really fit in japan since he's not 100% true japanese and is better off wherever he's from, even if he's born and raised in japan
Seeing his grandmother wearing a kimono and doing ikebana is a big hint that she's old fashionned, she probably never really accepted his spanish mother in the first place.

Fun fact. Puddings in Spain are called "Flan". Homemade "flanes" are like galaxies apart from commercial ones.
