I really hope we get a more satisfying ending to this long, hard struggle. The big boss getting away at the last second by almost impossible means is not only a bit of a stretch, but a little frustrating and tiering after all this back and forth.

Hell yeah! That was my reoccurring thought to every development in tbe chapter. Does anybody else think Tae-woo looks more grown-up each time we see him?

Anyway. When I first started reading this series I was convinced it would end in revenge: Hak and the dragons killing Soo-won and seizing the throne. But recent developments are leading me to believe that endgame is true unity with a sovereign Soo-won and honestly I think I like that better.

I really hope Ra'an, eye patch dude, val, baby bob cut and mei can rebel against the emperor properly. Ra'an doesn't deserve to die for a man that vile, and its clear the people themselves are less the issue and more the leadership.

Super glad they managed to knee cap the carriages making a speedy get away though, i have enjoyed moments of this big war arc but tbh im getting quite a bit of arc fatigue at this point. So it'd be nice if we can get some respite soon.

I liked this chapter but to be honest, it's a bit messy. Having the Kouka army coming out of nowhere without much of a fight and the general escaping with a wounded Chagol while the camp is supposed to be surrounded feels a bit overdone. Hope the next one will raise the bar again.

This actually makes more sense. It seemed odd that Soo-won, very much a pragmatist, would be okay with something like helping Yona and the dragons sneak into the encampment just to rescue one person. But using that as a distraction to crush the enemy... that's a whole different story.
