Personally, I think this is great. The inflated cast was making further character development slow. It took ages for anything to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it cause they wanted to go back to the same feeling as the beginning. The smaller the group the more they can develop the female and male leads new relationship. They have to get through what the future standings are going to be as ruler and general.

I think its good that they are tying up loose ends now and its nearing the end. Some of them were dragged on for too long. Can't blame the author though, seeing the happy hungry bunch together is too fun

I love how unpredictable the plot is going with Soo Won and Mei Nyan raising their death flag left and right, and the uncertainty of whether the dragons will die.
