Ok yeah no, not a shock to this guy at all that mermaids are real & mermaid traders are still around. Just common knowledge. Do elves exist? Demi-humans? Oni, Ogres, Demons? Like where the fuck is the worldbuilding any self-respected fantasy world gives in the prologue? I need exposition here detailing the long history of the world since the dawn of time, not a lackadaisy summary by Sara then the most lackluster reaction from rich suicidal ikemen...
