At this point I wouldn't be surprised if mc tries to save Momose from a falling anvil, slip on a banana peel, walks off a cliff and fall down only after he looks down, only for the girl not to realize he was there. And obviously, the chapter opens with an explanation about how japanese fruit are a symbol of peace or some shit like that 😭

Its all good. He didn't actually lose time because romantic festival dates don't actually start until nighttime. MC should have realized something was off when she said they were meeting at 2
