And the story is still a bit of a mess since they keep cutting stuff out of the WN AND shuffling things around, but they are still publishing it so hopefully they figure out where/what exactly they are doing with this soon.

There are currently 10 chapters total, but I only have access to volume 1 so chapter 5 will be the last one until volume 2 comes out (Unless someone knows a source for the rest of the chapters). I'm guessing Volume 2 will come out in 2-3 months

Kouki's fiancee who misunderstood Yuzu's relation with Kouki...that isn't really shown in the manga...
After the misunderstanding got solved she became a good friend.

Alas given how little importance she had in the WN the even more trimmed down manga might make this literally her only appearance.

If you mean the story where she necksnap her aunt, 'befriend' the vampire girl and all that, those are the 'prequel'.

This is adapting the part after that story with a lot of reworking of the source material...like the kidnapping/her realizing she's demon took a while in the WN but here it's the starting point.

The manga is starting from the second part of the WN. They’ll hopefully double back to the first part (which takes place in that Holy Kingdom). They are skipping a lot of context that would make the story flow A LOT smoother, so don’t feel bad for being confused

The key was Yuzu actually think of her as villainess (the ringlets) and that this one doesn't treat Yuzu like an NPC

Ah that helps explain alot, I reread all of this cause I was lost this chapter but was like is this skipping stuff it's so fast paced and just throwing stuff at us.

So yeah now my question is why would they change the events around from the LN? Cutting some stuff I can get can't be 1 to 1 translation but I feel ike i"m missing critical infomation.

I think it's a stylistic choice for the manga.
Focus on her time one Earth, slowly regaining her memories and powers, instead of working through the worlds/her lives in order.

Yeah but if your not familiar with the novel it feels like your reading a fever dream.

I like fever dreams, look at Haruhi's original order, they can make it work, surely, it's kinda confusing right now, but the MC is also confused so it's okay.
I actually didn't understand what's going on in Haruhi's melancholy for most of the first season, until i realised that the series aren't following a chronological order.
