If it's the big cake it kinda looks like a "fraisier" which is basically a strawberry cake, or in French a "gâteau aux fraises" (gâteau = cake, fraises = strawberries)
Château ( = castle) and gâteau sound almost the same, so we probably have a perfect example of what we call Franponais: French words used by Japaneses to sound cool, if you know some French look it up it can be really fun! :wooow: )

The original line is シャトーフレーズ, so it's not quite the same.

The only cake with this name I could find is this.

I'm very much interested where the author tries to take the character of Kuroda's girlfriend, she seems like a person who wants to stop Kuroda from pursuing his ambitions, and I can't say I don't see why, especially when the man has a secure job, healthy social life and what not you'd expect from a perfect partner, she isn't evil, she's just scared of losing the life she has, she doesn't want to end up in an unstable lifestyle, from her point of view, her boyfriend is in dump, and he has suddenly started writing and now thinking about quitting a very stable job to go after a profession which sprung out of nowhere to him, it's natural reaction acted in a wrong way.
