mmm... a little wordy. but I like the explanation. honestly I'd love if this series went forward with the theme that villainesses in otome games don't exist, and pace itself out.
most stories have conflicts that are larger than life for the heroine to fulfill, it also gathers the love interests in an interesting scenario. a villainess in an interactive medium, aren't flexible enough for multiple male love interests to intersect with the heroine.
most times it ends up being a supporting character that can help you learn more about the love interests, or to be a prop to explore the love interest. because of that, there are rarely times where a hostile character that can endanger the heroine ends up becoming a recurring character. after all if the love interests are to intersect with the heroine, something would have to be done if they
