That one account complaining is most likely from philia scans. I personally hate them so much. They snipe series, put up a few chapters, then put the rest of them behind a paywall on their website. They're banned from mangadex because of their bad practice.

I will however complain that creating a new chapter just to ask this isn't very nice. I got worried that this was an announcement that this was axed!

I didn't even realize there was another group sniping your series since MD is the site I primarily read manga on. The most important thing is if you've enjoyed the work you've done though!
