Also, I found it quite incoherent that the village elder knew about Fiona and her brother. Why not tell the government in order to imprison the demon king before he reincarnates? Or even just kill him straight from the start without needing a Hero?
yeah that is a plothole but it makes sense that the brother was told beforehand since that is the reason why he offered himself directly

I've been EDGED and BAMBOOZLED and NOT in a GOOD way.
Ending last chapter/this chapter if it was an epilogue looked like it was going to be nice, now we're in uncharted territory and it may not be that good, cuz goddam, I don't trust the author that much after they speedran a bunch of characters for apparently no reason.

I'd be pretty pissed if I'm Albus. Dude has been through his very own groundhog days to save Fiona for roughly 100 years (3 years/loop x 36(?) loops), finally succeeding and thinking he can rest, only to be looped back even further. At least his homies were willing to throw away their very accomplished lives to save him, so I guess you can't stay mad at them for too long.
Story-wise this is a very interesting development. I'm glad this wasn't axed and the author is willing to push further than just "loop back to save the girl" kind of development.
Yeah man, I have a mixed feeling like

"He has work hard, he deserve to have a peaceful death."

Vs

"He has work hard, he deserve to live fully."

If I'm Albus I'll probs fall into despair if I'm looping again after what i thought is the final loop.

Isnt the demon king just a floating soul? Besides being hard to prove, it doesn't seem anyone could do anything about it since to try and do anything it required the same kind of magic that the demon king and his associate used which for the most part seem to be lost.

Iirc in one of Albus flashbacks he was torn about losing both the dog and I think the woman that just showed up, and while he could regress he couldn't regress far enough to do it. So despite being pulled back for another loop I think this was an opportunity he always wishes he had, to save everyone important to him for reals without losing anyone.

Probably the biggest reward possible for managing to save fiona, being able to save the woman that just showed up.

Honestly this turn the last few chapters has been one of the best ive read in manga, the series seemed over with a grand sacrifice and an epilogue chapter but the author went for the full win! I can probably count in one hand the times ive seen this sorta super satisfying turn of events come by surprise.

Hi, everyone! So it seems the manga isn't axed at all, rejoice!
Poor Albus though, he has to repeat everything once more, lol
I think this time its likely a blessing in disguise. He was rewinded to his childhood and not the day before the hero set off on his journey. Meaning he has even more time now to course-correct the events.

For a second I thought Fiona became Albus or had a shared consciousness. If he's back as a child, he has more chances to prepare & prevent the Demon King from acquiring either vessels. Hope this redo will be a great & fun loop.
I'm so happy to wrong & deserve all the eggs tossed at my face for worrying this was getting axed. I would do again if it means saving a story like this. Thanks for the translations.
It sstill feels like it's about to end any chapter though, right?

That’s probably why he now gets to save Merida but really though if time travel is that “easy”, nothing really matters.

Also for a bit I thought future Fiona in the cover had massive honkers but I was accidentally hiding her arms. Too horny for my own good.

Oh yeah.
Since the initial dilemma was that Albus lacked of time in order to achieve the perfect ending... I guess this is an good opportunity to solve everything?
