First off, since you put that little trivia about Chiaki Mukai as the first Japanese female astronaut at the end there,
I guess you should fix the translation on your 1st chapter,
since you just put Alice as "first Japanese female astronaut" there, not the "first Japanese female captain/commander"

Ok, now we get the year.
Dang, I got it right for the goal there: apply the program at age 26.
So the story is set in 2023?
Very realistic to the current state of the Artemis program.
Also to the very recent tourist news.

This very much reminds me of Nononono.
If only that manga was not written by Elfen Lied/Parallel Paradise's mangaka,
it could have been a masterpiece.

Does this series have a deeper meaning for Japanese ppl and identity? Like when it comes to hafus and Kikokushijo, jpn ppl born overseas?
Third culture kids exist in pretty much any country around the world. There are of course cultural specificities to them in Japan just like in any country. But I think the things addressed in this comic are pretty broadly applicable.
