Caramel apples ARE candy apples... same thing, different name...

Caramel becomes hard and sticky when it's cooled...

It's usually better when they pre-cut the apple so you don't have to bite the big giant apple which increases the hardness...

In fact, cutting candy apples should be the standard -_-
