That is plain unfair as despite lacking skills he did try his best to do it not just for himself than for others as well. Which actually puts him in better light than those who can actually translate it but choose not to in the last 3 months. And I am not speaking just about this series.

If you do not care about accuracy in the translations you read or MTL then you can just use those tools yourself. There's nothing stopping you. But releasing something riddled with errors that you have no way of verifying or checking yourself to unsuspecting people is an issue. The issues compound even more when you're doing a game of telephone with JP -> French -> English MTL.

Also, most scanlators will wait at least 3 months to give the original group/person time before assuming it's been abandoned.
