I last read this series years ago when only a couple chapters were out, so it's nice to see there's much more to it now that somebody's picked it back up.
The various conversations about difficulties as a working adult have been really nice. I can't help but feel it pairs very well with a series about beer, a la that first chapter conversation about the social role beer plays in Japanese work culture. Amber Nights takes a drink that may be seen as a symbol of fighting to stay afloat in the workplace and transforms it into a means of real connection for the characters.
