...There should be a decently good story here, I think, but it's buried under six metric tonnes of sordid and honestly pretty gross and disturbing smut.

Like, it seems the author can write well, and occasionally gets around to doing so here and there, but is mostly kept busy sticking to the basest dredges of the gutter.
