Dude, you already said a lot, just finish it with a full and proper confession. At this point, keeping the most important part a secret is just hurting both parties.

I might be wrong thinking it but Chizuru made me think he is on the spectrum. As an autistic person, I am not too fond of those "headcanons", "autism-coded" (or whatever its called), however, there are rare times like this that made me think that a character is.....
Kota is still stuck at Denial stage and isn't progressing any further because of his past trauma with the kiss.
Maybe Chizuru should stop being a creep for the meantime and give Kota some personal space and time to heal?
How about he just stay being good buddies with him and let things go at natural pace perhaps?

I'm also autistic! But equally, I think the problem is moreso that this behavior is being written as attractive and appropriate rather than problematic behavior.

I didn't think that it seen as that. Typically, most manga is set as a fantasy and never meant to be taken seriously. Gengoroh often talks about how its all meant as a fantasy romance or setting to never do such as when he does his R18 works
