Jesus Christ be praised.
The antichrist will not be "le good guy", as being a creature that has rejected the goodness of God would be incapable of good. That is not to say that a creature that doesn't know the goodness of God is evil, but the conscious rejection of His love makes one evil. If the antichrist changed its ways and devoted itself to God, then it is not the antichrist. Instead it would be a worker of the Lord like we are. Being in league with Satan, the great deceiver, would suggest that this antichrist is deceitful. If the evil one and his legions can be perceived as good or divine, it then would not be surprising if the antichrist tried to show itself to us in light. They are able to fool us, sometimes easily, because we are made in the image of God. The demons despise the creation of the Lord and this despise us as man. We have become faulty and impure, but capable of forgiveness and redemption to bring upon oneself and others. This desire of ours makes it difficult to figure what is the Holy Spirit working through our fellow man or the lies and deception of the devil.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, be merciful to us sinners.
