Between Akutsu feeling some responsibility for not properly directing Aoi for a moment there, to his insane drive to win and his quiet appreciation for Taira, I feel like my appreciation for Akutsu is actually at an all time high.

Tripone is super fucking cool and I hope when we see more of the national team, we see more of him.

Thanks for the chapters. I'm glad the match ended up tied or else it might have scarred Ashito for a while.

This chapter and the entire match was a roller coaster of emotions. It was really enjoyable. And that flashback from Akutsu was really unexpected but it was nice.

As much as Aoi did screw up that last play, apart from Kuribayashi and Akutsu who else on Esp was even attacking? For his teammates who were seasoned A team members they honestly allowed a recently promoted first year to take the initiative on offense over them, more so with the way they were going about being cocky about winning the match for their teammate before hand, only to show straight duds.

If they actually turn on Aoi then that'll just be sad to see, he showed more heart in that last play, even if he did ultimately fuck up due to his inexperience guarding a transcendent forward in Tripone.
