I know they've been setting up the Barcelona arc, maybe they'll like Ashito's plays and bump him up the seniors or he'll go pro and play in Spain. He and Hana will most likely interact there more, however, was it necessary?

Togashi clearly likes Anri but still plays the wingman for Aoi.

Togashi is just better man. Especially since the author is dropping hints that Aoi is going to Spain. Togashi will probably stay and play for the domestic league.
