Makes sense. Japanese are driven by how much money they can suck without looking at a long term picture. That's why you only heard only one japanese players thriving in Europe per era. Currently it's Mitoma. Previously it's Kagawa
presently it is changing, more and more J League teams have adopted Euro type academies as the sport has gained more and more popularity and improved scouting of European teams in Japan. Also you probably don't watch football outside the English Prem. Japanese players are lighting the Scottish Prem up. Kamada has been one of the best AM/SS in Bundesliga and has shown he is also a capable CM lately, also there are multiple Japanese players starting for different Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 teams. Kubo is a regular for Sociedad, he has double figures in goal contribution for La Liga fixtures alone. Ueda is tied 2nd in goals in Belgian's top league.
Edit: Forgot about Tomiyasu who was really good in Serie A and for Arsenal before unfortunately suffering from a series of bad injuries.

You can feel the amount of research the author put into his work trying to find the systemic issues at the root of the vast difference in quality of football between Europe and the rest of the world especially Asia Africa and north america

not just about contribution or all that. People just dont know. Top clubs in Japan are pro clubs in a top division, they are not some grassroot teams feasting on a 0.5% educating mandatory payment from transfer fee like in Europe. And yet a quick google and you will know the OG Celtics trio left for a total of 2.5mio. Ayase Ueda left Antlers for a loan and a buyout. Reportedly 2.5mio for Kamada. Thats crazy good fee for developed players who can contribute right away, or after one loan to settle in. J1 top goalscorers, POTY, etc. Clubs deliberately let players go to Europe for pretty much nothing. Like im not even dickriding the Japs but what happened with Kuri's contract are also happening in real life, just with extra steps.

Aw my heart broke. It's the same way here in my country. You need a lot of money to succeed (in almost all fields if we're being real honest). Which is ironic cuz we strive to success to earn that money in the first place. It's ridiculous how much money needed to follow our own dream. I gave up on my dream to be a doctor pretty early on realizing that my family wouldn't be able to afford it and I'm not a prodigy that will be able to get a scholarship in medical school. Very sad that we have to give up our dreams even as a young kid due to money 😔😭 this hits harder than it should💔 and before some americans saying "why didn't you pay it by yourself" there's no such thing as being financially independent from your parents at 18 here lol and there's no student loan either. I'd have to work myself to death just to pay the tuition fee if I didn't get help from my family. Not to mention medical schools are too damn expensive and require too much time. I ended up going to design school and now able to be independent 😔

It's a interesting topic to discuss about that part in Japanese Football, but I think it's something that only changee with time, although J1 League developed greatly, still is a new league. From my perspective that I'm from Brazil, here it's almost the same thing that in Europe, except one part, in some clubs in Europe they really try to develop to their youth players to create player for their team, here in Brazil for a long time it really was a great Business, some clubs changed their vision, but for most part they use the youth formation to discover talents and sell for Europe, specially because young Brazilian players have a really high price. Just to get an example about the situation here in Brazil, with just one big sell like the most recent one in Brazil, Endrick, 72 million of euros, you can financiate the your youth formation for a long time, pay debts and buy new player to the main team, just like Vinícius Júnior,Rodrigo, and all clubs in Brazil put the revenue in selling players in their Budget for the year, as far as i know European don't put that in their planning for the year about revenues.

Aight champ. Tell me how much harder to have double digit GC in La Liga where the champion was Barcelona who got beaten by a mediocre Man United in Europa. Nah, you don't know ball kid. You're just a hater of PL.
BTW
22/23 - Kubo - 9G,9A in all competition
22/23 - Mitoma - 10G, 8A in all competition.
Oh and this is on PL playing for Brighton. You know. The league with the current best teams in Europe?
Fucking retard doesn't know shit about football.

Funny how you clearly ignored my stats when you brought up stats first champ. So if Manure lost against Sevilla and beat champions Barka, what do you call La Liga? Oh might I remind you who was the treble winner? What happened to Real Madrid in the semis? Ah that's right. They got destroyed. La Liga is a joke. Kubo is a joke. Mitoma did more for brighton with the same amount of stats as Kubo for Sociedad and they didn't even have extra games like Europa to statpad his stats. Fucking retard is having spanish football dick so down the throat lmao.

Dumb kid brag about a treble winner like la liga teams could have won the FA cup loool, lil bro doesn't realize City being so dominate means the prem is basically a literal farmers league as they won 5 in the last 6 years. lil bro acts like City winning 1 CL means anything when Real got 14 of those and won 5 in the last 10 years lol.

Kubo spent the majority of last season competing against Real and Barca at the top of the table when Mitoma barely broke into an europa spot with Brighton lmaooo. Only one of them will be playing in the CL next season you know who's better

You call it superior since 12th place Sevilla completely dominated 3rd place Manure in the prem. (after they luckily get past Barca's B team in the previous round) That's why Kubo's stats are way more impressive considering the fact the La Liga is more competitive and got way stronger teams, everyone knows without city the prem is complete garbage, kiddo.

Are you fucking dumb? Why would you bring FA Cup? Copa Del Reyn. Its equivalent exist but Real didn't even win the CL. Madrid got trash. Barca got kicked to Europa and lost. All I'm hearing from you La Liga fanboys is wahhh EPL is dominating cause of money. Now bringing up excuse with Barca B team as if United didn't have injuries either in both games. Even had the gall to call it lucky when Trashford rinsed Barka's defence. Lmao cope harder. You need that since you're stuck with the La Liga dick down your throat. Farmer's league or not, no way La Liga is harder when 2 English teams won the european competition last season. I can't see how your logic fits. But of course it's expected from La Liga copers.

"KUbO StaTS ARe WaY MoRE Impressive" lmao my brain. The logic is reaching. Same goal contribution stats with more games played is impressive. What's next from you? 2+2 = 10? Call me lil bro all you want buddy. I'm speaking facts. You pull excuses up your asshole

Lmao so it's funny you don't even try to cope for manure losing to 12th sevilla cause there isn't any accuse to give. Smol brained prem kiddies thinking a team being so dominant they won the treble says good things about the league when it's the complete opposite, it's saying plenty about the lack of competitiveness in bongs land. England winning 2 european cups last year doesn't mean shit when La liga have been doing that and been dominant in euro over so many years.

Kubo's stats are more impressive because La Liga is a harder league with better teams, I already said that you can't even read dumb lil bro. Next time before trying to talk shit at least be literate first. Stupid kids and their reading comprehension smh
