Get a partner who gets pissed for the entire day and puts on an Animal Crossing "angy" face because someone bad mouthed you behind your back. She was hate-wiping those tables. All we need now is Taiki losing to Yusa only for Chinatsu's cheering to rile him up over the finish line and that guy will lose his mind. Either way this has been a fun set of chapters recently.

Interesting comparison of Taiki and Yusa.
Yes, Yusa is submitting his everything to BM (reminds me as if he is someone on the spectrum) while Taiki is having a well rounded life with ‘BM in the center’ so to say.
And author already sow the seeds for Yusa’s fall. His recreation seems to be lacking and he is already carrying an injury. Since he can not perform at 100% in what he loves… who knows how he will react to that situation.
Taiki has had mom’s disease, Hina’s dumb shenanigans and his own lacking performance (natural or due to the aforementioned reasons) to worry about but at least he is solving issues he can and working through the issues he can not to move past them.
So no, whatshisname-Chi’sneighbour does not have the right to judge Taiki’s future since a) he is not a close person to him, just seeing snippets of his life; b) as far as we know he fails to notice even Yusa’s injury despite being close to him.
His ramblings are more akin to projection that stems from being close to a real talent like Yusa that is catching up to him despite being younger. Just a plain pathetic knowitall.
Anyways good setup for both characters in the finals. Also great upcoming arc expected for Haruto who have seen and experienced the best of both worlds. He could be the winner in a situation like this if it was real.

I'm actually really liking this prelude to university arc a lot more than I thought 👀 I loved Chinatsu for standing up for her man. That neighbor of hers is weird as fuck, -_-

My best guess is that he is a pervert and wanted Chinatsu to spit in his plate, because I honestly can't see any other reasons to badmouth one of the top 4 players in Japan in front of his girlfriend...
