Great chapter! But i must get very nerdy here. Dvorak's 9th symphony was not actually written because he was feeling homesick. He composed it when he was a director in a conservatory in america. There, he was captivated by native american and spiritual african-american music. The 2nd movement may sound very nostalgic, but actually it was only a 'sketch' to compose a cantata based on an epic poem called Hiawatha(although that composition was never realized) . And the scherzo, the 3rd movement is actually depicting a scene in Hiawatha where there is a feast in which many Indians dancing.
