This really got me. When I realized that Haru had three freckles on his face, I went back and realized that almost everything that Haru's sole inhabited had three dots on it. I really liked that detail. It's really sad that he couldn't come back as another pet to keep her company, but everything he came back as aside from the bug brought her happiness, and that's all he wanted.
