This idea is primarily focused on discussion of manga chapters that are adapted from a web or light novel.
Novel story spoilers are very often spoiler tagged appropriately.
The problem is replies to said spoiler has a high chance of stating spoiler content directly or indirectly. And those are not in spoiler tags.
This won't fix all the issues of spoilers and discussion related to potential future story content, but something like my thought would alleviate a large portion of the issues. Or so I think.
I'm aware too that if spoilers are truly not wanted by a reader, discussion should be avoided outright. Which I feel is the only way to truly avoid it. But I've noticed an upward trend of overly enthusiastic discussion goers that are ignorant to their actions. Something I don't think badly of them for, but has been enough for me to easily notice.
Edit: Title clarity
