Are certain scan group leaders actually free to shade/slight/bully other group leaders in mangadex?

It's not encouraged. And in comment section, I would definitely expect to see moderator action if it gets personal. Not sure how they would/could handle it for credit pages though. I have seen a couple groups fight each-other and even encourage readers to harass other groups via the credit page.

Well, this is a passionate community after all. Not often do you see this level of work being done for free by groups of volunteers. I just always hope they don't get discouraged by each other and simultaneously rage quite.

Generally speaking, constructive criticism is allowed (and encouraged) because that's how we all improve.

Personal attacks are not tolerated, however.

Why do it on the site? When you can do it on the discord secretively from the mods? What type of low level cyber bully didn't read "How to be a coward 101"? The only people who will bully scanlators are the endless masses of readers whose MD account is as simple as a throwaway email away.
