It is common for "chosen one"/OP MC type characters to just simply follow any and every person's request because they simply lack any common sense due to their power. Why even spend that half second questioning someone's motive when they can punch, kick, and slash their way out if it gets bad. It is even worse when they are of the "avid gamer" trope as well because they just default to treating every living being who is not one of their "companions" as an NPC.
