Oof

Hope his next “date” works out but he might need to work on himself if not focus on his job

Interesting for his friend to “run away” guess it’s good to take a break tho I wonder how many married ppl “intrude” on a single persons place every time there’s a marital spat

wtf was that?
Argument and running away from home based on how to properly use the bathroom? Idk

I guess it's just a marital spat but i suppose it's better to have a drink and vent to a friend as opposed to making a mistake and cheating but other than ppl being uptight/super traditional i would've expected them to have lived together for a year or two before getting engaged vs something like a shotgun marriage

That's the thing about being single when your buddies are all married at that age. You're the go-to dude for hangouts and the "good old days". Being with the wrong person, and having a kid with the wrong person especially, is a nightmare you'd do just about anything to escape from - even if it means losing everything you've built and letting her squeeze you dry. Not in the good way!

Might also depend on relatives and who lives nearby b/c 'running away' to the point that it's a sleepover, it's more likely to w
here someone would sleep at like a brother's house versus just a friend, but ppl are always like "when you're married, ppl tend to hang out with other married couples" or so, it would be awkward to third wheel some stuff but i'm sure there can be group hangouts/events where it's not as awkward if some of you are single

I think one thing about asian media that always throws me off is how they treat divorcees. Over there it's a massive stain on your reputation but in america and most of europe it's just a blip on your history. divorced with kids is one thing but if it's just a bad marriage I don't think it's a dealbreaker

I guess more pressure to “choose right” the first time as well as ppl hesitant to date someone that might already have a kid or paying alimony versus some arranged marriage that implodes badly enough to separate

And the reason would be important too, but it’s probably more of a stain against a woman than a man but even not being married can also be an issue
