Of course, he is. Something unbelievable that normally never would have happened did. He's not going to be like; "okay the system works like this, my next plans are this" and be done with it in one chapter. It needs introduction, rather a long one than a short one so that people will be able to understand what's going on clearly. About him being spineless, what's so bad about that? I'd say being spineless is safer in situations like these than actually taking the risks and having something bad happen. He doesn't know much about the window screen yet, so being careful is definitely better. "Slow on the uptake"; You're talking like when you see a window screen all of a sudden that you'll immediately understand what's happening. Nobody is the same. For one, it takes long to understand and for another it's quicker. Coming back to the spineless part as well as the indecisive part and actually also the slow on the uptake; just a guess, but I think this is his first relationship, so he is still hesitant about his actions and all.

I disagree, he’s had multiple interactions and still is acting cowardly. In the latest chapter he exposes his ex and now wants to wrap his hands around his knees and hide in his bed? What is he getting afraid for lol. Pretty pathetic guy.

Guess the fella is just emotionally unstable. Maybe as more days go by, he'll try out more? Who knows.

Yeah I don't really fault the mc for being weirded out by the new situation, but it is a bit frustrating to watch him go in circles. At least with the protag from 1:39 it's just because he's misunderstanding everything, but this guy just keeps going "Wow! these numbers... what do they mean?? ahhh I'm scared! and the days?!" over and over. It's like okay bro it's been 18 chapters fucking figure it out already.
