I find it exceedingly strange that after all that we have read so far, the MC just decides to forget it all, go back to Tokyo and start seeting totally new women for dating. It reduces the significance of the whole series so far to null, as if it didn't really matter to him at all. He just needed to spend some vacation time and decided to do it that way. Well, maybe that's a good personality trait for a journalist.

To be fair, it's often this way with the mango with infrequent releases: by the time the new chapter is out, you just aren't as invested. (In my case, given the trouble I have remembering Japanese names, I also start confusing the characters).
But if you reread such stories all at once, the pacing feels completely different, and the problem goes away. Like, this whole trans sidestory has been going on for what, two chapters? If you were reading a completed volume, it'd take you fifteen minutes, not two months, to read these.
