Uncle said not directly so maybe it was one of the men she slept around with or so. if not neglect b/c otherwise if it was a man's fault even if she's not doing full on prostitution versus 'fake girlfriend'/rental dating i can imagine women like that would avoid it versus being empowering /trying to take back a bit of control
Tho i assume she's not super rich right now, other than a parent being vain and just doing it for some kinda self satisfaction i'd imagine most ppl with bad relationships who suddenly get contacted by a relative is b/c they want money
