i keep reading and keep realizing i don't like the VA on the anime that much lol. i find the jokes work much better here in manga form, or at least they are way more funny to me.

@rabidfish what if your already know where is the joke at and expect it. Now it your mind make up and filled what it need to be perfect ?
The anime make a good job deliver the joke. The timing is pretty good. If i read the manga first, it may not look as good since some joke can be not that stand out enough, without voice and still image

nah, i watched it first, just now reading the manga. I find the manga funnier. Jokes that were annoying in the anime make me lol in the manga.

@Tcof ah sorry, i re-read your 1st comment and made more sense of it. Yea, i don't think so. I think that reading the manga is funnier, tho i prefer reading most of the time, i find watching anime kind of exhausting and asobi asobase's VAs are particularly annoying to me, for some reason.

@rabidfish really, i find they sound a lot more natural are less moe stereotype than what you usually get in anime voice.
then i guess you must find a lot of anime voice annoying then.

@Tcof While I fully enjoyed the voice acting in the anime, I can sort of see where @rabidfish is coming from with the notion that the jokes flow better in the manga. Asobi Asobase's surreal humor differs from the situational or referential humor most manga employ, to an extent that a non-natural voice (but also a non-moe voice) would actually work in the favor of its artistic style. Imagine Saiki Kusuo's rapid fire voice, Pop Team Epic's completely random voice acting, or even the squeaky voices in Western cartoons. Likewise in the anime, characters with the most bizarre voices such as Hanako and the androids stands out easily.
