Having a largely female audience actually kind of makes sense for this manga, but I can't say exactly why. It just sort of reminds me of stuff with woman as the target demographic for whatever reason.

Then I realized this chapter was released in 2014. 2014-20 = 1994, which is during the Yugoslav wars. Though what I will say that boiling them down to "millionaires financing it" is pure cope and simplistic and there were a lot of ethnic tensions.
