What happened to being a pet shop owner? Why does every series about pokemon from China turn into a power leveling fantasy where they just ignore the original plan?

I was commenting about later. Keep reading and you'll see that it starts becoming less about the pet shop and more about the battles. After this it slowly removes the aspect of being a pokemon daycare and focuses more on MC and his pets getting stronger.

now you're just misunderstanding the synopsis. It more or less screams "he's gonna get into a fight over this shit."
Beyond that, as far as the store goes, the
tournament arc
is still motivated by him wanting to clear space and gain customer base for the shop.
Even though yes, the specifics involve the MC getting stronger, that includes better understanding and applicable skills

I just wanted it to be more focused on running the pet shop like a store, having the MC greet customers and have his store as a little hole in the wall only some ppl knew of. Watch as the pets he raised go on to do great things with their owners. I'll reread it again as I went onto the novels. I just remember it's moving a bit too far away from the monster daycare theme and spends a bit too much time on other stuff.
