Super nice surprise to see Moriya Shiro coming back with a new series. I hope he sticks it out with this one and makes it a masterpiece.

This manga has interesting start, walled city, oppressive law, doomed future, mysterious enemy, weird ally (the baby?). Bet the baby has alien power but human heart.

That... is NOT how I expected this story to go when I first started it lmao. It's a surprisingly effective combination of a modern mainstream manga style mixed with the occasional cartoonish... 50's era retro style, I'd say. Reminds me of the cartoony art style that Fallout likes to use.

I really don't like the main character. He's your average "I'm a hero! I won't let anyone suffer or die in any sort of way!" main character. He's also an idiot. I'm not calling him dumb in the way that someone would call an actual idiot dumb, but he's just... simple. Like Goku from DBZ, Naruto from... well, Naruto and Luffy from One Piece.

I'm not saying that he's necessarily a bad character or anything, but it's not very fun reading another story where the simple ultra idealistic main character somehow manages to inspire other people with his ultra idealistic notions of how the world should work, especially when he should be getting laughed out of the room for his 'no one can die' shtick, doubly so given that the plot is set in a post-apocalyptic world where people should be dying constantly. If I wanted to read a story with a main character like that, I'd read Naruto.
