This is ironically (or intentionally) always a very good series my anxiety and depression. It makes me feel grounded to realize I'm not the only one who has troubles like these (especially when it comes to gauging social situations). The fact that it's a fictional character makes it more clear because you can't exactly write about something (and it won't sell) if no one in the world has ever experienced it (it doesn't have to be personal but research has to come from somewhere).

I do also want to say that I've learned while it's not encouraged, I have learned self-harm can ground people while they are in a crisis state and stop them from doing anything much much more permanent. I do appreciate that was the case here and it showed a changed mindset. It's always difficult to write any store directly dealing with mental health and concerns because how everyone is affected and responds to them is different and media typically wants to show it in the cleanest most hopeful and positive way possible (which is just not how it goes at all).
