Okay! I'm already doing way too much of this stuff for one person, but I binged all the available raws of this in one go and, yeah. Not perfect by any means, some plot points probably fall apart if you think about them too much, not sure where the mangaka's going with the overall plot... but I really, really liked what they've done so far, so here you go.

I repeat that it is grim. It doesn't have gore and there aren't any full-on explicit bits (there's some nudity, but not presented to titilate), but it does have violence and it deals with some pretty dark stuff (it gets much worse than this first chapter). I didn't add it to MD, and I'm not sure how to add tags in that case, but I'd use quite a few more.

I tried to get this done quickly - no being a smartass with fonts, leaving a few redraws out if they weren't necessary, and so on. Hopefully it's still okay. There's a couple of bits about the translation I wasn't sure of, but for the most part I don't think I made any horrible mistakes.

It is definitely a "...and then Everything Went To Hell" story, yes. Not non-stop mayhem or anything, but she certainly struggles to catch a break.

Also, the title implies that they were girlfriends/Kanojo? But the chapter clearly states that they were best friends. Which one is it supposed to be?

1) Oh, there's absolutely a backstory. At the same time the mangaka doesn't really seem to be going for "...so that makes everything I did okay, right?", which was another thing I liked.

2) Yes, fair point, I don't think I'd have used that exact English title... if you MTL that synopsis it describes it as a "sisterhood story", but so far it doesn't seem to be going for full-on yuri or any such thing. Thelma & Louise style subtext at best (or whatever a more modern reference would be).

Seems like mega trainwreck in the making, I usually enjoy watching bullies getting rekt series but first chapter went pretty hard and straight up with the timeskip , not like it matter much since >flashback chapters gonna be there for sure. I think translating いじめたカノジョ to the "bully girl" would be more accurate in this context, no? Kanojo doesn't necessarily imply girlfriend, but can also mean a "girl" in general. That means the title can translate to "The child of the girl who used to bully me." which would feel more factual to the story. Correct me if you feel I'm wrong.

No, your logic seems fine - no argument there. Just I didn't add the original entry to MD, so I meant "If I had done, I like to think I'd have gone with something different". Though given I rely so heavily on MTL, for all I know I might well have slipped up and done the "What does Google say...? Oh, yeah, that means 'girlfriend', right?" thing. <_<

Remember kids: The way to write a good drama story is to take a nice, sweet character....And make the world around them absolutely, irredeemably evil at every opportunity. Unjust suffering begets sympathy and sympathy means easy hook!

I'm just interested in seeing how mean the author can be before think they've gone "Too far."

After reading up the raws, yeah nah I'll give this one a pass. This seems like another moral grandstanding dilemma where the bully have a shitty behaviour because there's a bigger bully that are bullying (in this case SA) them
