One thing I like about this series is that while it's hardly subtle about who the culprit is in an arc (excluding the breather one or two chapter arcs), the why they are doing it and how they are able to are the pieces of the puzzle we hunt for in each chapter. No matter how horrifying it gets, the author makes me want to know the full story behind it every time.
