I read an article about development of weapon systems that would disrupt rather than kill and one such idea proposed the use of psychoactive agents or subliminal messages to induce arousal and sexual confusion. Something that could be deployed against a crowd of soldiers, rioters, or terrorists without risk of collateral damage or friendly fire.
