Definitely a fun dynamic. Yuri keeps circling back to middle school which seems to be where she lost the plot or at least stopped having much agency in life. They really should be looking for countries without extradition treaties with Japan. Maybe that'll come after they get through their wildly different bucket lists.

Apparently, if Google's AI can be trusted (which is admittedly dubious), Brazil and the UK of all places are eligible. Though, I'm reasonably sure murder charges are heinous enough that this might be overruled in a "spirit of the law" sort of thing (unless they somehow become filthy rich along the way).

extradition for homicide is difficult between individual states of the US. its virtually impossible internationally for crimes of passion unless Atsuko was so sloppy that they have her dead to rights. How many people would be able to point out that Atsuko had a lesbian crush on the spouse 20 years prior.
