this is up there with My Girl for me. makes me cry and feel warm inside at the same time.

I really like how this mangaka writes her story and characters, they feel very human for shoujo. Her endings always feel a bit underwhelming, but that too feels kinda human. This manga has a nice bittersweet feeling to it, recommended if you like small stories, not much over the top drama and open endings.

The way it ended in the middle of life like that suggests the characters live on and their story continues. At first I was surprised and felt almost betrayed by the abrupt ending. But after sleeping on it, I realized I appreciate it. Of course, it doesn't do much to satisfy my curiosity, but the ending is very realistic. The story doesn't end when the book closes.
