Imagine if Bambi had thought "I can't let him confess in front of me and the women I love without saying something as well!" and confessed in the middle of the other guy's confession or straight afterwards?" That would have been mental

And Asuka would be justified in thinking "I thought Bambi was into me, but he isn't going to clearly show me his intentions even after another man confesses to me and tries to get me to live with him? I guess bambi must not be that into me after all"
Furthermore when has bambi ever said that he WANTS to look after Asuka's child from another man? He's said that he doesn't mind, that he still wants to look after asuka, but this other guy has said he'd CHERISH her child. Even Bambi doubts if he's up for all that.
He should probably give up unless all he wants is the option of sticking with asuka and doesn't want his option taken away by another man
