the whole "I can't get close to them, they're my oshi!" line will hopefully not last long, because while I get that Idol Culture is a whole thing in Japan, it's needlessly toxic when you're this close to the person of your admiration and then continue treating them like some holy object instead of...y'know, a person.
Particularly when the romance angle gets pushed and said oshi starts catching feelings for the MC, who then proceeds to hold the romance interest at arm's length over some weird artificial sense of "I'm not worthy", thus denying the other person their own feelings and agency to choose what makes them happy. ....Which is in turn a slap in the face, and in Shigure's case here, could actively cause her to backslide emotionally.
But, the romance aspect isn't being actively worked on, beyond the heartfelt talk on the bench here. So hopefully the concert competition is a success, and that whatever Tooru's planning here pays off for Shigure going into a rather nerve-wracking moment.
Thanks for the TL
