I wonder why the Japanese like that one specific dessert so much. It has appeared in a number of manga/anime. In fact, if someone asked me to name the specific cake that appeared in a (non-cooking) Manga X, I'd just say Mont Blanc by default, if I didn't know any better from having recently read it.
