@Ettelblack I don't think so. If that was true...then most foot soldiers would have been trained to be sword users rather than spear users like they were in history. Spear is easier to use and gives more advantages(like reach/range) than the sword does. Even Samurai were known to use the spear(and bow) more than the sword in battle...and they're known for their sword mastery. Most soldiers in history were spearmen for a reason.
