Guy literally only wears 1 outfit his entire life, but puts on a mask and people can't tell it's him. And it's not like it's a sect outfit and possible to confuse for someone else, it's a unique look. At least make it a magic mask that casts an illusion or causes people to look away. That's just my 2 cents.

@dunavin Yeah, i am not sure how the mask protects him being recognized from behind. His hair looks the same, his outfit is the same, his posture, etc. Not sure if the characters in Wuxia are morons or the writers.

@raos044 I don't think it's people being morons, but writers being lazy. Or for art, maybe it's more of a branding thing. Character must always look like this so it's easily distinguishable from other main characters. I would have put a magic spell on the mask making MC unidentifiable to others, so I say lazy writing.
