I'm like 90% sure that Kano voted for himself.

In reality Kano would probably have been overwhelmingly voted to continue as captain. This is the guy who reinvented DL from scratch uniting everyone from an unorganized mess ( something his predecessors couldn't do even when DL was at its peak ) and even led them to top 4 in Koshien.

But yeah Kano probably only did it because of his love for DL and now that he finished his mission to revive DL he just wants to focus on rebuilding himself now to his former wild glory ( the same guy that hit 2HRs and game winners in his first year ). Wouldn't be surprised if he also convinced others to not vote for him.
